I have strived to provide our local population with an excellent level of orthopaedic service over the last eight years. I am privileged to have achieved many truly remarkable patient outcomes and some measurable successes for example rapid recovery in knee replacement with data in the top 1 percentile nationally. I was also pleased to be judged by my peers in the annual excellence awards as the highest ranked orthopaedic surgeon from all the Worthing and Chichester orthopaedic consultants.

I will be remaining locally and focused on providing top class elective hip and knee care to our community. This will include:

• Provision of an NHS knee (NHS will be knee only initially) service at Goring Hall.

• A significant increase of provision level of private practice service including rapid appointment access within 48 hours via 0808 101 0337 (often same day), long consultations of 40 minutes, enhanced written and web information. Overall offering a truly premium private practice.

• Clinics in the community (larger GP practices).

• A thorough pre- and post-operative private physio care at the Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Centre, Esporta, Rustington, which has hydrotherapy.

It was certainly my long-term expectation were to remain within the Trust. However I would like use my drive and energy to deliver excellence in a more progressive way.
